Q3 Overseas Revenue Jumps 120%: Designer Toy Brand Passes 300 Stores in Southeast Asia, With 50 More Coming in Europe

According to the latest operating data disclosed by the industry, a leading designer toy brand posted a 120% year-on-year surge in overseas revenue in the third quarter, with its Southeast Asian store count now above 300 — its most important overseas growth engine.

The designer toy category is moving out of China into Southeast Asia. Blind boxes, figures and similar products are scaling fast through physical stores and local collector communities, and young consumers' appetite for visually striking, IP-driven merchandise keeps climbing, making Southeast Asia the beachhead for Chinese designer toys going global.

Industry insiders note that Southeast Asia's retail culture remains strongly offline and interactive, with mid- and low-priced blind boxes and trading card games proving especially popular — natural ground for designer toy brands to push into lower-tier channels and drive repeat purchases.

While consolidating its Southeast Asian base, the brand has announced 50 new European stores next year, together with an official secondary market for designer toys offering authentication and vaulting services, aimed at formalising collector trading and extending the life cycle of individual products.

For sellers in the cross-border designer toy, toy and IP merchandise business, the accelerating store rollout in Southeast Asia points to new opportunities in offline distribution, licensing and supply chain partnerships — both for winning orders and for product selection.
