1. Open the lid and put the food into the container, then close the lid.
2. Press the vacuum button in the center of the lid repeatedly to evacuate the air. As the vacuum is created, the silicone vacuum indicator will depress, signaling that the vacuum seal has been successfully achieved. Once this occurs, you can stop pressing.
3. To release the vacuum, gently press the vacuum release button on the lid, allowing air to flow back in, and then open the lid.
